Shalin, as she expected, caught sight for the first time of the man the female had been speaking to - and was astounded. Her eyes bulged for a moment and she remained motionless, waiting to see if she were noticed. Hmm... too interesting to kill... she mused, eyes narrowing, her sudden surprise evaporating quickly. She decided to just watch... him... or whatever this was for a while, and decide what he was at all. Obviously not human, good. Shalin smirked at his comment. She thought that way about all people.

He scratched the back of his neck, under the area that was covered in bony spikes, to the side of his hooked spine. He strolled down the alley casually, heading away from the area that Shalin was, he either didn't notice her, or didn't care.
He continued to mutter under his breath as he walked, not saying anything audible.

Shalin silently began to follow, not wanting to call attention to herself, but was too curious to just let him stroll away unchallenged. She still wasn't sure why she wasted her time on such things, but nevertheless, she followed. A few more steps and maybe she'd even call out to him.
((Damn. XD it's getting hard to be creative with the task done XDDD))

The creature pivoted on his foot in mid step to about-face, looking back down the alley the way he'd come. "I just realized she never asked my name... curious." He said, still not looking as though he's spottedn Shalin. He put his feet together, and crossed his arms, holding one clawed hand under his chin, appearing thoughtful. "I guess she was just in a bit of a hurry..." He quickly shook his head, "No... she didn't want to know... she just wanted to get rid of the stone and get away from it. She probably expects that I'm going to get killed or something. Figures they probably won't find the thing hidden on me, and then she'll come and get me. She'll be able to find it, because she saw where I put it."
He sighed, "She looked like she was older than me... she probably figures that she's quite wise and sagely for all this." He stopped talking to himself, though he continued to stay in the same position, moving only slightly, it was obvious he was still deep in thought.

Shalin froze motionless as the he turned around. Her interest was instantly stirred as he started to ponder. What was it the female had given him? Feeling that this might be more interesting than she thought, she listened on, curious whether he would continue to rant into the night - and ultimately to her. Her smile grew even more wicked.

He remained quiet, but began to walk forward down the alley in Shalin's direction as one with a purpose might. He appeared to be in something of a hurry, but at the same time he also seemed not to care about what was going on. "I'm willing to bet she's tracking me incase I follow her." He breathed...
He stopped halfway down the alley and looked around suspiciously... he moved quickly to duck under the shadow being cast from a building, making sure to press himself up against it hoping that it would help. He'd also moved his cloak around so it draped infront of him, positioning it so that he could still see even though he was mostly covered by the tattered piece of cloth.

Shalin made her decision. She stepped out of hiding, taking care to keep her distance from the man. After all, if she decided to kill him after all, she needed to be far enough away for a good shot. "I've been looking for you." She said simply. Of course, it was a complete lie, she hadn't been looking for anyone, but that would at least disarm him for a moment, and delay attack if that's what he planned. She pulled a dissatisfied frown, as if about to scold someone she sent on an errand who didn't return in time.

"Why would anyone want to look for me... and how would they know what to look for?" He sighed, "You can't have been looking for me, unless you've seen enough of me and not run away from it." He stepped out into the alley, and faced her. "I don't suppose that you might be an assassin of some kind? Either way... what do you want?"

Shalin almost smiled in delight for being mistaken as an assassin. "Assassin..." she almost purred the word, but then laughed lightly, as if to mock it. "No. I am no assassin." She spoke the name reverently. "Actually, I was more looking for someone just like you. I did not know it would be you. I have been seeking someone... unique. Would you mind walking with me for a while? I'd like to know more about you." This would be interesting. Perhaps she could doom humanity to all look like this. The thought made her breath quicken excitedly as she looked at the creature almost in awe.

He sighed inwardly, Since there seems to be no end to this... "If that is what you wish." He spoke out of the side of his mouth, staring down toward the ground. The stones beneath his feet clacked as he took a few wary steps forward, 'Any particular reason you were looking for me... and want to talk to me?" He gave her a sideways, curious look upon noticing her staring at him.

"Are you human?" Shalin asked rather bluntly, still smiling in fascination. She laughed again. "I seek all who are... different." Of course, she didn't mention that she reveled in everything non-human.

"Depends, why do you ask?" He looked at her quizzically, "I'm not even sure of the answer to that question... but I might have been before." He shrugged and absently looked around him, as if somewhat bored.

The mage had been tracking that accursed gem now for a long time, and now it appeared within his devilish grasp, yes it was all coming together finally. He had located that gem to the prime material planes thanks to many hours of divination and talks to countless types of demons, most resulting in battles across the abyss with more than one fiend, but Akkarin was a Sorcerer of the highest calibur, Magic was in his blood, his talent was natural and his tutalage had been extraordinary, from mages such as irenicus even Elminister himself had one point taken on this now evil sorcerer, had they known of his devilish future perhaps they would of killed him where he stood, however, they didnt. His pale boney fingers twitched in anticipation, the rest of his body remained in that state of serious expertise that it so often did, that delecate shell was a stern vessle of evil.
The time was upon them, incantations were said, arms were moved in arcaic ways though the final move was tracing a door with his palms, this created a doorway where he could see the alleyway where the gem was, he could see something hideous as well, he didnt relish the fact of possible removing half of this alley way or perhaps more but this gem was far more important than that, such sacrifices must be made when needs be. Stepping through the gateway it faded behind him, he assumed the holder of the gem was this...beast before him. Dressed in black robes he seemed to blend into the alleyway itself however an emination of green light burst before him, akkarins face still couldnt be seen however but that wasnt the most threatening part of him, the threatening part was his voice, with a few words men would melt in fear at his feet, he was hoping for the same effect here.
The Gem...Hand it over immediatly or suffer consequences beyond your comprehension!
{cack post, you can see ive been out of this for a while, im assuming anyone can join the rp? dear god i hope so, and im hoping the Gem is in Verius possession, ive been reading the back posts and im sure it is....forgive me if im wrong}

((S'right, anyone can join. The gem is with Verius, though it would have been alright even if it wasn't, makes it interesting ^^ btw, this won't get a reply for a while... as Verius said, he's gonna be gone for a while. But Shalin's still thar... )) Shalin immediately sensed that something... evil was coming, and it was one of those rare moments when she rejoyced. The creature suddenly didn't interest her anymore, but was fascinated by the new arrival. Curious, she thought, so this was the female's business with this... creature? She smiled evilly, dark and cruel eyes fixed on the new arrival. The less human he was, the better, but even those could be remarkably talented in evil. Her red hair seemed to make her eyes catch on fire as a strand pushed in front of her eyes, but she stood back respectfully. Whatever business the mage had with the creature, she would not interviene. At the sound of his terrifying voice, she positively shivered in elation. It had been too long since she'd been near someone evil.
Not very far away yet, Eliana stopped dead in her tracks and swiveled in her darkness, seeing a distinct flash of green catch in a broken shard that she had just passed, facing behind her. For a moment cold terror gripped her. Had I made a mistake? Her mind was sent racing, but soon enough was quelled into a simple, burning rage. She hadn't fought all this time just to lose it! Deciding to stay in the area, she dared not change the darkness, lest either of them still in the alley think it unnatural how the light bent oddly. Eliana smiled dryly. Even her enemy had been terrified by her darkness... but if that was who had suddenly appeared where Eliana had just left, he wouldn't settle without full revenge first, she guessed. Where else had she seen flashes of green light? Of course, it was ridiculous to think that he'd come all the way here. Absurd. Though she kept denying it over and over, Eliana couldn't help but feel frustrated, that perhaps she hadn't thought of something... maybe the gem wasn't as clean as she had presumed it? Her eyebrows moved together a centimeter as she pondered. She sensed the gem... exactly where it was. No matter where she was, she could point to the direct location of where it was, and even how far it was, but it was not that which caused her such relief. The gem was still safe. I'm being paranoid, she thought to herself scoldingly. Maybe the creature has some odd tricks up his sleeve which include a lot of green light. Still, her intuition told her not to leave yet.

Akkarin didnt quite like the look of the foul creature before him, but then again Akkarin despised alot of things in fact, everything, with his free hand Akkarin pulled from his pockets a small medallion it was a focusing device of sorts, it aloud the user to speak only a small part of an incantation, albeit the final word of power that would complete a spell, Akkarin never used it for offensive spells but rather for those that would aid him greatly, like creating a planar lock Cosentavis A small rupture of magical energies echoed out across the city, any magically sensative person would detect it, possibly not its nature but then again, perhaps there was someone here with talents after all. Now the creature before him couldnt just hop from one plane to the next and escape Akkarin, and should those Cowled Wizards detect Akkarins trail in the weave then they couldnt get here either, Akkarin was safe for now The gem Creature hand it over then perhaps i will banish you back to what ever plane it is you came from
