The creature sighed, but covered it up with what appeared to be a hacking cough."I wouldn't be just so sure enough of yourself, Casters like you start to think they can't be beaten, and they wind up dead because of it." Think whatever you like though... it's none of my concern. He shook his head and decided it wasn't worth the trouble arguing with her about it.
Coward. Is that all she can do? "Even such, a patch of darkness, stands out in the rest of the sky, it's still quite an obvious kind of thing. Besides... I'm willing to bet there's any kind of magic that can pierce it. He lept down toward the ground, until he met hardened earth suspended in the air waiting for him, and rebounding off that to go further toward the ground, he continued jumping back and forth from different patches of the suspended earth before he made it to the ground. She's luckly that I didn't just go the easy way. "You act quite strange, I'm very surprised it hasn't gotten you into trouble before, as it almost did." He spoke the last few words with a grim satisfaction that only made him appear more serious.
He shook his head over to the side in distaste, "All this for a gem?" He was beginning to consider this whole thing a waste of his time. "And you expect that I'll carry this on me, if you can't keep it on yourself?" This woman was starting to pluck at his nerves.

Eliana smiled easily. It was understandable that he doubted her. "I haven't said what I've said because I can cast spells. It is not that which makes me a formidable opponent, and not what has kept me alive for so long." She left it at that, feeling that she would sooner strike him down before mention that she'd been trained for a very long time by a drow, as that would put her at an obvious disadvantage; dark elves were not good to be associated with, if the person she spoke to didn't know him personally - which no one could, because he was dead by now. She wasn't near as good as he had been with swords, but he did teach her magic that she'd never have known of otherwise.
"Who would suspect that this alley is a bit darker than the fast-fading daylight? There are many streets plunged in darkness, this wouldn't be the first. And there are very few mages who could ever detect that this darkness is magical in nature." she was perfectly confident about her darkness, as it was of special design. Of course, a drow could sense it, but she no one else really could.
"Strange? Maybe." It was true, she thought chidingly at herself, that walking around and attacking people for her amusement hadn't been a smart opening move, especially since she had spontaniously asked for help. It was too late to change that, however.
"This is no mere gem. I haven't let you look at it for long for a reason. You can get... quite lost in there. Do not hope to return from its depths either - I have taken it not because it is a gem, I care little for such things. But for its magical properties..." she was beginning to tire. "But if you are not willing to help I will look elsewhere." And with that, she turned on her heels, using all of her magical senses to make sure he wouldn't follow.

He shook his head silently. Of course, I forgot. All of these humans assume they're special, and that they can do whatever they please.
"Plenty of people would suspect it, you just have to be afraid of darkness, and not think straight." He said somewhat mockingly. His nerves were definately beginning to wane from this woman's ego. It bothered him that someone could think so much about themselves.
"A gem, is a gem. Magical or not." He looked around absently. "Lost... right..." He watched her walk away, but didn't really pay much attention. "I don't suppose you assume to use some form of twisted guilt on me to make me want to help you, or plan to force me to help you?"

Eliana shook her head. This place is hopeless... She definately would not prove her powers, she cared little for such things. If her life were in danger, of course she'd use it. The creature's attitude towards her darkness spell didn't surprise her in the least - he was on the inside, and she already knew its effectiveness. He didn't need to know, it was enough if she did. Deliberately lifting the darkness, so as the creature wouldn't feel its perimiter effects, she walked on. Let him think whatever he wants.
Eliana stopped for a moment then looked over her shoulders. "No... I will not force you. Nor am I laying any guilt trip on you. If you won't help me then you won't," she shrugged. "I won't try and change your mind." she paused a moment to let her words sink in, before turning around again.

The creature turned his back on Eliana, looking around the area, as if inspecting the buildings. He waited a second before running up the side of a building to his left, and disappearing over the top.
The moment the creature disappeared from sighr, the ground turned into mud quickly, where Eliana was stepping. It was enough to make her foot sink down into the ground, and when it had, the ground began to turn into solid stone on around her foot.

Eliana, expecting such a thing from the creature, managed with her telekinesis to break out the now hardened ground beneath her, breaking it into little bits as it fell away from her foot, and she calmly brought the same slab beneath her feet, levetating above ground and using her analyze dweomer to check how much magic was in the creature to be able to do such a thing. She rose above all the buildings, circling round and round, untill she spotted it at the top of a building, then crossed her arms, tapping her foot on the wall piece in slight irritation.
"Next time you intend to stop me - give me a yell, will you? What do you want from me?"

For Eliana, to use such a spell on him wouldn't make much of an effect, as his blood and magic were fused into the same substance. It was apparant though, that there was a focus of the magic subtance running from his throat down his esophagus, into his stomach, where the magic almost literally swirled in a torrent.
Strangely however the "creature" was no longer a dog. It was standing on two legs with the form of a normal human bipedial. (Same appearance as our last RP.) He stood with his arms hanging limply at his side, his chin to his chest, everything about him seemed lose, almost as if he might have been asleep.
Liquid muddy earth shot around the slab of the wall, crawling up Eliana's legs, hardening slowly, and anchoring themselves to the slab itself. The slab shuddered as it began to move back toward the ground. "Just making sure you don't try anything. I'm curious why you hold yourself so much higher than everyone else.." With that, a claw sprung from his foreamr, as he lifted his clawed arm to point at Eliana. The claw shot from his arm, the bone claw itself disconnected from his arm, and behind the end of the claw, trailed a tendon, connecting the claw to the gruesome hole in his arm. The claw didn't appear as if it was directed to hit Eliana though,. It went past her left side, and turned as it began to circle her, as the tendcn made contact with Eliana's side, the claw used it's momentum to contine wrapping around her. He attempted to quickly shape the bone to make it wrap itself around the tendons, to keep her arms locked.

Eliana merely let the earth harden around her, but the bone was too much. True, she had let herself be pinned, but her smile didn't fade. As if to prove her point, her bow and arrow lifted themselves off her back and stretched, aim perfect, ready to let loose.
"Release me," she said calmly, "or I will shoot." There was a dangerous glint in her eye. Just to make sure, she even cast a Target Lock on her arrow - she wasn't in battle after all - and no matter which way her Nennas bow pointed, it would reach him. "This arrow," she began to explain patiently, "will reach you, no matter where I point it... and it would probably kill you, unless I release it, and you release me."

He turned his head and stifled a laugh, before turning his head back to face her. "Try it. I wouldn't suggest it though." The insides of the rock surrounding Eliana's legs began to prickle but it wasn't obvious what. "Right now, I have the ability to make hard spikes jut from the insides of that rock into your leg from every direction, piercing your skin, and your leg. You may never recover. It might even crush your bones." He used his other arm to suggest a shrugging gesture before he spoke again. "Even if you fire at me, I'll still be able to crush your legs. Would you sacrifce them, your movement, to try to kill me?" He didn't release the tendon from her though, waiting for her response. "Infact... I would rather that this not get violent, I just wish to ask you some questions, and I would have trouble getting anything straight from you in a normal situation, it seems."

Eliana's lips thinned slightly, and after thinking for a moment, she released her Target Lock, and the bow and arrow went back over her shoulder. She tilted her head to the side slightly. Fine. she thought to herself.
"You'll get even less out of me this way. If you want honesty from me, you won't like what you see." She knew that with her telekinesis she could easily break apart the earth around her, even the bone, but she let the creature think that it was still at an advantage. Besides, she found it excruciatingly dull to keep count of her arrows once they had been fired. Of course, she could pull them all back home - even fit them to the bowstring so that she shot quite a few shots in rapid succession with one arrow - but she'd done it so many times that she often found it more entertaining to go look for them herself - which was already too trivial.
"I'm not used to talking to people when I cannot tap my foot ever so often." She smiled rather sweetly at the obvious lie, not having intended to make it sound honest to begin with. If she made certain to make herself look truly vulnerable, she might be able to manipulate the situation to her liking. It sometimes fascinated her how easily a person talked and was talked into things when they thought they had the upper hand. Or... she could produce the creature's Nightmare... and in that time she could render him more vulnerable than she was - pain and fear were, in a way, her closest allies.

He noted her putting her bow back, and the tilt of her head. She's probably planning something already.
"I find that it'd be rather difficult to get anything out of you, in a... different situation. He again used his free arm to gesture shrugging, "It is my wish that we come to enough terms not to have you run away, or try to disable me so you can leave without me tracking you. Rather... I'd like us to be able to communicate without these... safety measures. That is all."
He tilted his head at her slightly, his bone jaw moving up and down slowly as if it was happening without him meaning to. "Well, for now, you're going to have to imagine you're tapping your foot, and consider it good enough." The tendons wrapped around her seemed to pulse and twitch slowly, some of them dripped a semi-transparent blue colored ooze from them. It was clear that the tendons were wrapped with muscles, strong muscles, but it wasn't clear as to why.

Eliana was running out of patience. If the creature would not let her go soon, she would do something about it - she hadn't done so thus far for the sake of diplomacy; if he thought he could keep her there, then he would not feel too threatened, but if she merely burst out and proved her powers to him, she was at more of a disadvantage than she would have liked to admit. Her power was with words and manipulations - she recognized however, that this one was not easy to manipulate.
"Give me one reason why I would run away from you. You seem to be of the oppinion that I am so full of myself, then logically I would think myself indestructable enough to be so confident I'd stay here. I ask you one last time to release me. I do not wish this to become violent, but this is no way to talk to anyone. I'm not your prisoner."

"Because that would be the quickest way for you to not have to deal with me... and not to have to trouble yourself. Even those who think themselves superior have common sense, and a preference of not having to do troublesome things that aren't required." The tendon running from his arm tensed, to Eliana it might have felt as though it were tugging. That sensation was overridden by the fact he raised his other hand up, with his clawed hand open, palm out, facing Eliana. As he did so, the stone below Eliana moved at a steady pace toward the creature on top of the roof.
"Don't worry, I don't plan to hurt you. I'll let you go if you agree not to try anything with me here. I wish to talk with you." It appeared as if he bit into his arm, though it could have been anything, and the gesture didn't appear to mean much of anything.

Eliana, with great difficulty, forced herself to remain calm. She shook her head once, as if in denial of what he had first said, but didn't say anything.
"I'm not afraid that you'd hurt me," she said honestly, "I won't try anything with you." I'll just DO it do you, she thought angrily, but dismissed the thought quickly. In a way, she admired the creature for making her so angry. It was a rare trait that someone could knock her off balance. "Now release me." Dignity already in shambles, she gave him a rather miserable look, but one that was masking what was beginning to bloom into hatred for the fact that she hadn't allowed herself to prove herself to this creature. Usually she wasn't concerned with such things as her dignity, she favored manipulation above all arts, and because of it she would rather sacrifice her dignity in face of getting exactly what she wanted anyway - but there were some rare occasions when someone bothered her to the extent that she felt like the ends of her nerves were killing her in the urge to do something maniacal and evil.

The slab of stone set itself down on the roof, ten feet infront of the creature, though it was clear that this didn't appear to be the same dog-like thing as before.
The stone around her legs sunk back down, as well as the stone slab, all that was left of the "wall" was a rough porous surface, like a stone sponge almost. The extra earth he'd taken, he piled in a heap next to him, with nothing useful to use it for. The bone connecting the tendons reformed it's original shape, and slowly unwrapped from her body, pulling itself back inside his arm. The whole process made a series of rather horrid, wretching, slimy noises that didn't seem to particularly bother the creature much.
"Such a forceful person. One moment you actually appear somewhat nice... the next, you become commanding again." He tilted his head at her, shifting his weight to his right foot. His claw absently pulled itself back into his arm and back under the skin, as it did so he lowered his arm back down, not seeming to notice any of it. He waited a moment for the female to do whatever it was that she was going to do, before he began to question her.
