The trip had been going for two days but already it seemed like forever to the drow assassin known as Sulinul Del'nin never had he done such a thing before as to keep his intended quarry alive for so long but this time he felt "compelled" to do so.
Death comes in many forms but this was far worse than death itself.
The limp body of the Mage Eliana widdershins hung limply over the side of the horse for now, still after two days she had not awoken either way Sulinrul cared little, it made the ride easier.
Sulinrul hadnt been home for many years since his search for his rather skilled brother L'ktonos Del'nin, how that name brought feelings of anger to Sulinrul, he had been trained to be him, he had been born to be him, born to kill him, Sulinrul often thought he was born to kill himself.
Sulinruls train of thought however was distracted by a somewhat disgruntled moan from the quarry, slowing the horse down he jumped off the steed and headed into some near by undergrowth to see what the sorceress would do.

Eliana's head hurt. Why, she wasn't exactly sure, but she knew that it wasn't good, and certainly not pleasant. For a moment she just let herself stay as limp as she had been so far, trying to figure out where she was, and why she was moving. She reached out mentally, but almost shivered when she felt something... something hidden, masked. Her thoughts zig-zagged all around, suddenly wild, which didn't help on the dull throbbing. She opened her eyes and blearily stared down at what she realized was the moving ground and the side of what was undoubtedly a horse. Her eyebrows slowly pulled together in confusion as she tried to remember how she had gotten here. She raised her head, but instantly regretted it, as pain lanced through her. She shivered slightly, and realized what was wrong: her side was aching badly. Still a bit unfocused, her eyes wandered to her side, only to see... she swallowed. So it was not a dream after all. L'Sulinrul. She bit her lip in frustration and anger, as she suddenly remembered what had happened.
"I could have defeated you..." she mumbled, letting her head fall back and her eyes shut again. "if I hadn't been wounded and tired..."

The sorceress did nothing but mumble and nothing that Sulinrul would take seriouisly, she was nothing more than Ibbilith, or in the common tongue Excrement, non Drow.
The next few hours of the ride were nothing more than stale.
Binding her hands and feet Sulinrul lifted the mage off the horse and over his shoulders, dropping her roughly to the ground, whilst he set up a fire, the low canopy of the trees around provided ample shelter from the rain and in this particular clearing shelter from the wind.
Night was falling and it didnt pay to travel through such areas in darkness getting lost was never a good thing.
As the fire burnt Sulinrul tossed on a few slices of meat from the pack and let it cook slowly, he was aware that the mage could still speak and therefore able to cast spells, but he hoped that she would see sense in not doing so.

Eliana gave Sulinrul a piercing stare as he dropped her to the ground, but she did not make a sound. From where she was, she silently stared at him, taking in every motion he made. She called this Learning someone, which more often than not had saved her life on countless occasions when people tried to betray her. So she Learned Sulinrul, her present captor, and smiled slightly, quite aware that her motionlessness was helping her to gather her strength, and that her mouth was not bound. If she wanted to... it was too easy. She used all her abilities and skills to do a silent healing that she alone knew how to do - it was something she didn't do often, but it was quite useful. Soon enough, she would be back in good health. Eliana found comfort in the fact that she had this ability, and that it had nothing to do with her magical skills - well, a little at any rate, but not too much. She didn't need spells, incantations, or strange potions to achieve what she could in one night alone. Feigning fatigue, she let her head rest on the ground, and her eyes sleepily open and close. Her other skill. She felt like grinning, but instead she made a painful wince.

Being an elf, a Drow elf at that, who amongst the sb races had a paticular high sense to magic, Sulinrul could feel a gentle tingle of the magical world around him, he knew the Sorceress was using magic, with a short peircing gaze at the seemingly helpless woman, he walked over to her and stodd above her, kneeling down over her chest and slapped hard at her face.
"Do not even try to use spells!"
grabbing the female by the front of her robes he lifted her to her feet and undid her bonds.
"Make yourself usefull and come with me!"

Eliana gave Sulinrul a piercing stare. Under normal circumstances she would never have let anyone even touch her - but unfortunately, this was not one of those times. She reduced the level of healing, knowing now that he could sense it all too well. There was a fine line... after a point, not even she sensed it, but it was happening. She frowned moodily. It'll take a week like this, not one night! So, she had no choice... if she wanted to live.
"If you don't let me heal my wounds," Eliana called after him, "then I will die before I could do anything... useful." she trembled slightly in anger, eyes burning holes into him. She knew enough of the Drow to know that in the Drow hierarchy the females had the upper hand, and Eliana strongly wished that she had been born a Drow, because then their roles would be reversed. At this moment, she couldn't have found a more satisfying thought than what she would do if she had the chance to change herself suddenly into a Drow. She absently rubbed the place on her wrist where the bonds had been, and automatically went to her wound on her side that had knocked her out. It had almost healed, but she knew that it would be very sore indeed if she didn't heal it now. She patiently looked up at Sulinrul again coldly, waiting for his approval... if there ever came one, she thought sourly.

Sulinrul looked at the female and laughed as she rubbed her wrist with her hand, shaking his head Sulinrul grabbed hold of the bonds and roughly tightened them.
With a grin he pushed her towards the under growth and forward using her as a way to clear the branches and leaves before Sulinruls path.
On the other side he cut the bonds free and looked at the female mage.
"You will do as i say! and only as i say"
he pointed down at the floor to tracks, two long thick lines heavily imprinted within the muddy ground.
"A caravan has passed and very recently, we can catch them and take what we need, After....we kill them.....You will help"

Eliana's lips thinned angrily, but she said nothing. She suddenly felt like pulling a sword on him, but resisted the urge only to find worry take its place. If I can't heal myself... inwardly she bit her lip, though her facial muscles didn't even quiver outwardly.
A side of her rebelled against Sulinrul's proposition, but another side of her shoved it back into the depths from which it came. This was no time to think about morals, if she wanted to survive this... as she knew she would anyway, somehow, though her prospects looked impossible. Just let fate work it out. she thought bitterly, knowing very well that she didn't always believe in it. The thought of killing made her feel a little sick, but she defiantly showed no trace of her discomfort, and only waited for Sulinrul to tell her what to do next. In her head he had already died a thousand times...

Looking at the woman he could see the agony on her face, the confusion brought about only by killing another living person, thoughts ran wild like a boat in a rough see, in every possible direction.
Sulinrul could only smile at the thoughts he assumed Widdershins was thinking.
Sulinrul rushed WIddershins along the through the dense undergrowth, he would survey the caravan before he attacked it, he was not about to be killed by being under prepared.
The caravan as it seemed appeared to be full of monks, from what Sulinrul could make out of it, the banner sowing a fist surrounded by a glowing light, a rather monkish trait, even from the people on board they gave away a monkish feel, clothed in brown plain garbs, appearing to have little of value.
Sulinrul knew better, even Monks needed supplies this caravan would be as full as any other,
a short detour later and Sulinrul had the pair of them infront of the caravan by no more than minutes, his plan already laid out before him,Pushing Widdershins to a tree he smiled as he tied her roughly.
"Scream Loud!"
Of course he knew she woudnt scream, she needed encouragement.....
Taking a knife from his boots he peirced her shoulder and left the knife in, she could do nothing about it, wholst Sulinrul climbed the tree.

Eliana gasped from the sudden pain in her shoulder, but she angrily clenched her jaw on her lip. A warm, metallic taste told her that she had bit hard enough for her lip to bleed. She spat out the blood angrily. She let out a muffled cry, the wound on her side throbbing unpleasantly. In a flash of insight Eliana knew that she would have to scream whether her stubborn dignity wanted it or not. She cursed herself over and over, but no matter how many times she turned it around in her head, it would only have been worse for her if she refused to cooperate now. It could even have meant her death. She tried to reason with herself, whether I scream or not, they will die... so she screamed, yelling out all the knotted up rage within her, a tear streaming down her face now. As she stopped she knew she got their attention. She half wished that they would ignore her... impossible!
"Curse you, Sulinrul!" she muttered angrily under her breath. Somehow... someday she would give him the payback he deserved... the anger within her only doubled as she thought that the chances for this were very slim. But there has to be something! I know there has! she thought desperately.
This, was the defeat that would bring her happiness? She scoffed at the thought. Perhaps her abilities were running out, her magical reserve was drying up. The thought too frightening to bear, she pushed these thoughts away and concentrated on the monks who were running up to help her. Her eyes filled with sorrow, but she managed somehow to pull herself together and face the death of so many...

The monks of the Divine lthought, had been moving tirelessly for many days, like a well oiled machine their trip was functioning perfectly, nothing was going wrong.
Their order had plently of supplies to last them for several hourneys and indeed when their supplies ran out, they had done enough deeds to buy more supplies with the gold they had earned.
The peircing cry of Widdershins rang out across the air and the monks, who preffered to travel in the most peace possible save the few crys of nature, could not help but hear the pain in her voice, stopping the caravan at once, monks assembled before their cargo thinnking trouble to be afoot.
Seeing the helpless Widdershins tied to a tree, several monks ran forward using some caution.
Sulinrul sat within the branches of the tree, smiling wickedly, this was going to plan, however, the fact that monks were involved did not thrill the Drow, monks were known to possess incredible knowledge on martial arts, and judging by these monks that didnt seem untrue.
Sulinrul however looked forward to the challenge.
Movig carefully out across the branches of the tree, using his balance to stop the branch from snapping and indeed himself from falling, he sat perched in position and ready to attack.
The monk moved forward more carefree as he saw noone was about, and he had four of his monk brethren with him, he believed himself to be perfectly safe.
"Are you ok ma'am, you are injured my bret....!"
The monks words were cut short as a globe of darkness ascended over him, Sulinrul without fear dropped into the globe and drew his swords.
The monk was caught off guard, for the Hunter, thatw as too long, the monk fell to his knees, his head rolling several feet away.
Sulinrul had passed.
The Four of the monks brethren though had seen nothing of their brothers faal, until the head had come rolling out of the darkness, not long after Sulinrul himself came charging out his two swords trailing behind him covered in blood.
The four monks said a final prayer to their lost brother as they ran towards Sulinrul.
Sulinrul's globe of Darkness disappated and now Widdershins could see exactly what she was "Helping" Sulinrul to do, his swords came in an arc however, a monk possessed of what seemed like steel skin, threw his arm into the way of the passing blades, Sulinrul believed the arm to be lost to the monk, but as the blade was defelected Sulinrul was left stunned and indeed with more respect for the monks.
As blows rained him from the sides, he worked his swords furiously to parry them, at the moment it was simply a blur of limbs and Steel as Sulirnul kept four monks at bay, parrying and countering each blow perfectly.

For a second Eliana saw a small ray of hope that Sulinrul might actually be defeated, but she had to look away a moment later when he managed to block all the attacks. She was sorely tempted with the urge to use her magic, but she knew that in the state she was, all she could do was heal herself - if she was angry enough, she could even do it within a blink of the eye... she trembled slightly from rage, knowing that it wouldn't be worth it, because Sulinrul would win, she knew this, just as she had known so many things in the past... I should have, for example, listened to myself when I thought the Inn was a bad idea! Eliana thought, turning her outward rage into a kind of self-loathing. If he did succeed in killing the monks, then he would make sure she would pay for healing herself, she guessed from his actions so far. Perhaps a little more finally than a knife in her shoulder. He didn't seem the type to just "let" her do something like that out of hand. At the thought of her shoulder, it started to throb even more unpleasantly than before, and suddenly Eliana had to use all of her concentration to keep herself awake. The pain was too much, and she had lost a lot of blood at the Inn, she judged from the weak state her body was in.
"Curse you, Sulinrul..." she muttered under her breath again, looking daggers at him. If I could get my hands on him, I'd... the thought died away into a smoldering, black fury that burned the very soul of her. She didn't know what was worse - fighting him again until she died, or obeying him and letting her fate take her to whatever "happiness" awaited her, though at the moment, she couldn't think of one satisfying thing that would outweigh what this Drow was doing to her. She toyed with the idea of using a Mage's swear for a moment before dismissing it, seeing once again the futility. If a Mage swears to do something, then they become so driven and beant upon it that they have little other choice than to carry it out, not to mention that it gives them a little extra strength. Not that that little amount would help, it's useless! her nostrils flared and her jaw moved to the side in a set grimace of anger, all directed at Sulinrul. I wonder if he can feel my gaze like others do... I wonder if it hurts him... the thought made her smile a slight, vengeful smile, but she quickly erased it before anyone could notice, knowing that her smiling and looking at Sulinrul at the same time could be misinterpreted as encouragement before they realized the manner in which she stared at him, and she was quite aware of the vulnerable situation she was in: tied to a tree.

Fists, feet, elbows even head came in at Sulinrul from all directions, and the speeds of the monk were outstanding, even through the blades of Sulinrul's master strikes the monks could make a successful attack, Sulinrul was beginning to lose the battle, with four against one odd's Sulinrul knew he was hard pressed from the start but he trusted in his own abilities.
However, his abilities were failing here, and he knew time was not on his side, not any more, the monks would wear him down eventually, and monks were known for their patience.
A hard blow to the face from Sulinrul's right flank sent him spiraling to the ground, with his agility though Sulinrul was soon back on his feet, however the blows still kept coming.
he could feel the warmth of blood trickle down his face, something had to give at some point, he could imagine Widdershins laughing at him, tied to the tree.
Sulinrul was however near exhaustion, another kick from the monks dropped him to the floor finally, laying ever so still Sulinrul's blade clattered to the ground as the Drow simply led there unmoving.
The monks took a deep breath and went to the aid of Widdershins who was still tied to the Tree
Fear not Ma'am the Drow is defeated. Brother Morrin, Gather his swords, they are rare and may provide us with some more funds for our orders preservation.
Fear not ma'am you are safe
the monk casually begun to untie Widdershins as if Sulinrul had not even been there at all.

Eliana gaped at Sulinrul disbelievingly, feeling dazed. Even as the monks untied her, she still stared at him, staggering away from the tree, and sinking to her knees. She tried to tear her gaze away from the motionless figure on the ground, knowing well that she had to heal herself or she would soon join him. She held up a protesting hand as the monks tried to help her up. "Wait." she felt her anger still burn within her, and she used it now, pouring all of it into one instant in which all her wounds suddenly pulled together into a seamless mend, a kind of healing she had never done before in her life. She opened her eyes in surprise, swaying slightly from the energy drain before steadying herself and standing up, still gently pushing away the monks' helping hands. They watched her a little aprehensively as she swayed slightly on the spot, but as her gaze rested on Sulinrul she stiffened, convincing them that she needed no support. Her eyes thinned as she realized that her anger at him had not abated, even though she thought she had used all of it up in the healing. It gave her even more strength, and it was one of the rare occasions that she let her feelings show on her face. Before thinking about it she took a step to Sulinrul, but held herself back, suspicious. Something told her that was not the end of it.

Ma'am you are safe now let us head towards the caravan, there we shall cloth you and feed you, you are more than welcome to travel to where ever we are heading and stay with us for as long as you need, all we ask is that you tell us of your ordeal with the Drow
Walking off his hands behind his back, he made his way to his brothers at the caravan.
Sulinrul lay lifeless on the floor, he was breathing but only just, he could feel the pain, how the fists of the monks seemed to burn his very skin,he could still feel it, every strike seemed to linger like a bad memory, it all begun to well up inside of him, a burning rage to strike out and take the lives of those who almost threw him to the waiting arms of the afterlife.
He could feel the presence of the monk who took his swords, he could feel their enchantment's magic, like a slight glimmermaking the air feel different, even though Sulinrul was beyond walking, he would not allow himself to feel pain, he became like a trapped animal, boyond physical boundaries, up he went, his body battered and bruised dashing forward the sword were torn free from the Monks grasp.
And he feel dead.
Sulinrul moved on.
